GOAL
Empowering rural lives through health and education services.
MISSION
To contribute to the improvement of health and education service delivery for the social and economic well-being of the marginalised rural people.
VISION
A society where Health and Education Services reach to all.
WHO WE ARE
Established in 2010, Padre Pio Rural Development Initiative (PAPIRUDEI) is a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered with the Ugandan National NGO Board. It is situated at Lusaka-Lwankoni in Kyotera District and operates in various districts of the Catholic Diocese of Masaka. PAPIRUDEI was initially started as a volunteer group by concerned local community members. It gradually grasped the attention of several development players and in 2018, it was successfully registered as an NGO to influence governance and development processes in Uganda.
WHAT WE DO
PAPIRUDEI works towards contributing to the improvement of service delivery in and around the rural Districts of Kyotera, Rakai and Masaka in Uganda. Rural and hard to reach areas of Uganda are however more costly to be provided with social services than it is the case in urban areas, which is a key challenge for both the local and central governments at all levels. PAPIRUDEI and its development partner players, therefore, strive to always guarantee access to health and education services as a paramount contributor for socio-economic growth and development.
OUR VALUES
Our values define who we are. They are the fundamental beliefs of PAPIRUDEI and they guide our actions and behaviour. They also influence the way we work with each other – and the way we serve our clients and engage with our communities, donors and well-wishers.

- Teamwork
- Transparency & Accountability
